Ian McCormack, the “Jellyfish Man”, lays it on the line

Thank you to the many, many people who crowded into our meeting last night to hear the amazing and challenging testimony of Ian McCormack, of how he died, went to hell, then was taken to heaven, saw Jesus and returned to life just as a doctor was about to commence a Post Mortem examination.

Thank you to Ian as he recounted his story in great detail, taking many Scriptures from the Bible to illustrate and evidence what he had experienced.

At the CGC Community Fun Day on 17th September, Roland Tann was in the ‘Healing Prayer Tent’.  Keith came to him for ministry.  Keith later wrote this testimony:

 ”I have had back pain for a number of years after a serious accident.  God has healed it today.  My left leg was shorter than the right and now they are the same.  Praise God!  NO PAIN!!”

Bob Humphries as our new October speaker

Bob and his wife Linda have prayed for people since 1992: those who self harm, women who cannot conceive, struggling businesses, to name a few, and have seen God move in power.

They EXPECT signs and wonders to follow the proclamation of the Word of God and we expect to see God move in a similar way on 7th October.

There will be a change in Speaker

We were due to have former American Gangster, Jim Epsley with us from the USA, but unfortunately we have just learned that his mother is seriously ill and his forthcoming trip to the UK has had to be cancelled. Jim has said this is the first time in 35 years that he has had to cancel engagements. Do pray that his mother receives healing.

We will announce a new speaker in due course, and posters and leaflets will then be re-published and made available to download.

Nigel Langford, who is on the leadership team at the Christian Growth Centre(CGC), here in Chelmsford, and who has a real heart to see the Holy Spirit poured out in our world in restoring and healing, was our speaker this evening.

The evening was a powerful one! David Gilbey led anointed worship, where the Holy Spirit was very evident and Ian Chamberlain, our keyboard player, also introduced and sang a lovely song written by the daughter of one of our Team.

Nigel then spoke about how it is now the time for us as Believers, to rise up, to reign and to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. He spoke specifically about how it is the role of every Christian, not just “super-stars”, to pray for and see the sick recover. He illustrated this using two stories from the Gospels, where Jesus healed the woman with an issue of blood for 12 years, and the crippled man by the pool of Bethesda.

A time of ministry then took place, where Nigel sang over people who had come forward to receive healing and then anointed people with oil for greater power to go out and serve Jesus. Many were tangibly touched by the Holy Spirit.

Others were prayed for and received healing from God. Just two examples were a man who had back pain instantly leave, also a lady with left leg pain and who walked with a limp and a stick. She walked out, no pain, no limp and no stick! Praise God! We look to hear of other testimonies of how God moved and will continue to move in the lives of people who came along tonight.

Friday 2nd September at 7.30pm sharp!

As usual, we will be expecting to see God move powerfully as we reach out and yield ourselves to Him.
